Horticulture | Agriculture Scholarship

The McMinnville Garden Club is offering $1,000 scholarships to high school students pursuing a degree in horticulture or an agriculture-related field at a two- or four-year Oregon college. These fields include
- Agronomy
- Animal Science
- Biology
- Botany
- Ecology
- Entomology
- Forestry
- Horticulture
- Landscape Architecture
- Plant Pathology
- Soil Science
- Viticulture
Eligibility
- Must be a high school senior who intends to pursue a degree in horticulture or an agriculture-related field at an accredited two- or four-year Oregon college.
- Must be a permanent resident of Yamhill County at the time the scholarship is awarded.
- Must have a high school GPA of 2.5 or better.
- Maintain a cumulative college 2.0 GPA or better and be enrolled full time (12 units or more)
Application
- Your scholarship application should include each the following.
- Complete Application form
- Include two scholarship recommendation forms, one from the school counselor and one from a teacher, employer, or other adult none of whom are related.
- Copy of your official high school transcript and copies of any college transcripts.
- FAFSA Student Aid Report or ORSSA Expected Family Contribution as proof of financial need.
- Submit documents in one large envelope. Do not bind or staple documents.
- Send your complete application packet to the following address. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Selection and Award Process
- If you are a finalist, you will meet with the Scholarship Committee in McMinnville.
- If you are awarded a scholarship, funds will be paid to your college directly in two equal installments on the following schedule: September 2025 and January 2026.
- Scholarship recipient may re-apply in subsequent years.
