Linda Hansen

I have gardened throughout my life, and it connects me to nature and the Earth. I have always loved growing plants, the thrill of a seedling sprouting and playing in the dirt. I find gardening to be very healing, peaceful and brings joy to my heart. I was raised on a farm in Minnesota, and we always had a garden. My family moved to Portland, Oregon where I attended High School and college at University of Oregon.

After college I moved to San Francisco and lived in the Bay Area for ten years and worked in a variety of non-profit organizations and eventually transitioned to a career in Human Resources Management. My profession allowed me to travel and live throughout the states. I was fortunate to live and work internationally in Brussels Belgium for five years. I had a garden wherever I lived and it was always exciting to learn a new ecosystem.

I relocated back to Oregon in 2019 to be closer to family and enjoy living in McMinnville.
I joined the McMinnville Garden Club to meet other gardeners and to learn more about growing plants in the beautiful Willamette Valley. Wherever I have lived, I have always enjoyed volunteering in non-profit organizations to make a difference in people’s lives, the community and our planet Earth.

My interests include spending time with family and friends, gardening & sharing harvests, traveling, outdoors, hiking, creative pursuits, cooking, wine tasting, etc.
