Happy New Year!
I hope you all had a joyful holiday with friends and family. We had a wonderful time with our children, our grandchildren, and grand-dogs. Not a dull or quiet moment. Good times and good memories all around.
We had a wonderful Holiday Luncheon with plenty of time to visit. The arts and crafts that were displayed were amazing. We have so many creative members. Thank you all for taking the time to come and share with us. I hope this becomes a tradition for the coming years.
Lisa delivered all the donations received from our club members:
- YCAP: $153.00
- Henderson House: $1,147.00 (includes a $1,000 donation from one member)
- Family Place: $105.00
- Juliette’s House: $171.00
Thank you all for contributing to these worthy causes. I am sure they were well received and will be used wisely. I am not sure what was donated in the past, but this seems like a very successful year. Thank you!

It looks like winter has finally arrived. As I write this, I see frost on the roof tops. Luckily, I had already moved some plants to a safe place for the winter. My hummingbird feeders are semi frozen but still drinkable. I worry about the little guys in the winter. But there they are, buzzing around my yard. I’ll have to remember to bring the feeders in at night.
We have a lot to look forward to this year our 100th year. We already have many people stepping up to get our celebration out to the city of McMinnville. Tina has been organizing the members to get out to the Chamber of Commerce and the 100 years Committee has been coming up with great ideas to celebrate. With the New Year, we are ready to start implementing many of our ideas. I hope many of you will join us in making it a successful year. We will keep you posted on when and where we meet: We hope see you there.
Have a Happy New Year! I’m sure I will be asleep by 9, but will be awakened by my dog that does not like loud noises at midnight.
See you in the coming New Year!
Rita
