Hard to believe that Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Where did this year go? Pretty soon the first freeze will be here and all my pretty flowers will go to sleep for the winter. I will miss my fuchsias and will look forward to seeing them in the spring.
I would like to extend a big thank you to all of you that have stepped up to fill many of the tasks that need to be done this next year. The committee to celebrate our 100 years met with lots of great ideas to help us celebrate. I am looking forward to a fun filled 100th year. we now have historians to go through the many years of information we have about the club. It will be wonderful to share what they find.
The scarecrow committee did a fantastic job! Make sure you go downtown to see her. I hope you all remembered to vote for Gilda. I’m sure pictures will be in this Newsletter for those of you who missed it.
We now have enough of us to enter the parade on Friday November 28th . I was wrong about the date on the agenda. We will welcome all late comers, the more the merrier. The parade begins at 4:30 and we are hoping to be near the front. It should be a hoot, don’t miss out!
At our next meeting our own Dorothea will be sharing a slide show of Beautiful Trees with Brilliant Autumn Foliage. I can imagine she has some beautiful pictures, there are so many grand trees changing color now.
If I don’t see you at the next meeting have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Rita
