Fall, it’s so nice to see it arrive. Fall must be my favorite time of year unless you ask me in March, and then I would say it is spring.
What a wonderful first meeting we had in September, so many people willing to sign up to help with all the projects and activities. Thank you for being so willing to help. Also, a big thank you to Kirsten for coming up with the great idea of “Sign up September” for making posters of all the many activities. Of course, thanks to those who helped make them. I was told by a member that a visitor was so impressed that we do so many things in the community. We still have a few areas where help is still needed. Rebecca Robins would like to have someone help her with watering the plants at the library. Sometimes life gets in the way and it is always good to have a backup.
We do not have a Historian. It is not critical but it would be nice if we had someone who is somewhat computer savvy that could digitize photos and papers with a scanner. A flash drive takes up a lot less room than boxes of old paper and photos. Less smelly too!
Lastly Christine is looking for someone to write horticultural articles for the newsletter. It would be a nice addition to the newsletter.
Again, thank you all for stepping up and getting involved. I can’t thank all of you individually, since there are so many. This is a wonderful organization, and I am looking forward to a great year.
I’m really looking forward to going downtown next month and seeing our scarecrow. Thank you Sharalie and all those that signed up.
