I grew up about 30 miles north of McMinnville. I then lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, in Vienna, Austria, and in the Maryland suburbs of Washington D.C.

My father always had a large vegetable garden and everywhere I lived I tried to grow the flowers and vegetables from my childhood. Sometimes I was successful and sometimes not due to the various climates.

When I retired I returned to Oregon and joined the McMinnville Garden Club. I have benefited from the knowledge shared by the members and speakers, and have thoroughly enjoyed sharing experiences and activities with the wonderful members of the Club.
